My favourite lipstick at the moment...

Hi guys!

There are a gazillion billion lipsticks in the world and I definitely haven't tried them all, that would be next to impossible, but I certainly have my go to lippys!

I'm obsessed with Mac lipsticks! I have so many favourites but for some reason these 2 take the cake. The colour on the right is 'Faux' which is a beautiful neutral colour with hints of pink and mauve with a semi matte finish. The colour on the left is 'Blankety' which is a really soft pink beige colour which has a creamy finish.

I believe both of these lipsticks are really well suited to most skin types. And I also love mixing lipsticks too! It basically gives an 'in between' colour. You should try mixing your favourite lipsticks, you may find you've created something even more amazing!

Here is a picture of me wearing 'Faux' lipstick, my ultimate lipstick. I'm not one for dramatic lips I rarely go outside of neutral colours so I really love 'Faux' because it isn't too neutral and isn't too deep in colour either. Kind of like goldilocks finding her porridge 'just right' I've found my lipstick!

I hope you get to try out these 2 amaze products! I have many more to share with you too!

Lots of love,

My Favourite Hair Care Product

Hi beauties!

I wanted to tell you about my favourite hair care product which I have been using since forever and I truly believe it is the secret weapon to my healthy hair especially after all the highlighting that I put my hair through. So what is it then?!?!

Da Da Da Daaaaaa .... Moroccan oil! But there is only one type I get which I buy from Australia and it's basically the bomb.com. I'm yet to see it in Dubai which is a shame but to be honest if it was I wouldn't buy it because it's already quite pricey ranging from $50 - $60 per 100ml in Australia depending on which store you buy it from. Anything in Dubai is like DOUBLE the price ranging from hair care to makeup to even fruits & vegetables! Dubai is crazy expensive so no thank you!

There is honestly no other product that I love more for my hair than this baby right here. I have favourites but this takes the cake. You may be wondering why is Lexi sooooo obsessed with this?! Well below I will explain everything you need to know.

* Filled with antioxidant Argan Oil
* Filled with vitamin E and a combination of fatty acids which gives this product it's rich antioxidant properties
* The nourishing oil helps prevents split ends
* Penetrates deep into the hair shaft which strengthens hair for growth
* Controls frizzy hair without making it greasy as it's quite a lightweight product (Make sure you only use as directed, don't go drenching yourself in it then of course you'll become a grease monster! Use within reason)
* Aids in restoring hair to its natural shine
* And to be honest it just smells so darn good!

I promise you won't regret purchasing this product and if you do then drop it off to my house! I for sure need a life's supply! Hehe

Fact: Moroccan oil is not only used for hair care but also skin care and cooking! It's been around for centuries and is a really great multipurpose product.

Just so you know, you don't have to go to Australia to purchase it. I'm sure you can buy it online and there is a wide variety of brands that sell the same product but honestly the brand I use is by far the best I have ever tried! I hope you get the chance to try it and love it as much as I do.

Lots of love,

Product Review - Sigma Beauty: Structural Lashes

Hi guys!

I wanted to write about a new product that I recently got my hands on. One of my favorite brands Sigma Beauty has a mascara set which includes 3 different types of mascaras where each wand has been built specifically to create alternate results.

By using the 'Monumental Lash' mascara you will create volume as the wand is quite thick. I use this first and I only use this on my top lashes.

To create a curved shape to your lashes use the 'Sinuosity Lash' mascara which I usually use second and again only on the top lashes.

The 'High Caliber Lash' mascara is used for length and I use it on the top and bottom lashes. This wand can get really close to the lash line without making a mess and gets right into those smaller areas like on the inner lashes.

My eyelashes literally have a mind of their own!!! I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem but I have lashes that go in each and every direction. So it's really cool that Sigma created a collection which helps cater to each persons needs.

TIP: I always use an eyelash curler to help those rogue lashes go the way they should go... which is UP. You don't need a super duper expensive one, I just buy mine from Daiso for 7 dirhams!

So the reason why I use these mascaras in a specific order is because through experimenting I found this method helps create my perfect lashes. If I use a mascara that lengthens first I find that I cannot really create the volume properly. However everyone is different, you just have to experiment!

Note: The cost for the set of 3 is USD$45 or if you want to buy them separately they're USD$19 to purchase just visit www.sigmabeauty.com

I have been using 3 different mascaras for over 10 years now. I have only found a few select mascaras which allow me to create the perfect lashes by only using that specific one! I will definitely do another blog post revealing my top fav mascaras at the moment so stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post!

Roberto Cavalli Perfume

Hello lovelies,

I have been obsessed with perfumes since before I can even remember. I would say because my mum has been wearing it immensely for her whole life. I'm pretty sure she secretly dips herself into a perfume bottle before she leaves the house lol. Even though that's impossible I like to let my imagination run wild and you never know she could have a mystery cupboard hiding a gigantic bottle of perfume or her showers have water and perfume combine lol! Anyways jokes aside I love being obsessed with perfumes, I think after makeup this is what I like to spend my savings on.

I recently purchased a new perfume which I have really fallen in love with. I think it's been out for quite some time but it only caught my eye the other day. The Roberto Cavalli Aqua Eau De Toilette not only looks pretty but smells divine!

Not only did I get the 75ml which is the blue bottle but the sales assistant was so lovely to give me a mini 15ml bottle of the original Roberto Cavalli Eu De Parfum.

The Aqua version has notes of jasmine, water and lemon along with lily-of-the-valley and musk. This scent is super elegant, floral and fresh. I would say it lasts for a moderate amount of time. It's super feminine and certainly stands out so be prepared for compliments!

The original version is stronger so I would say it lasts for s bit longer. It is very unique with notes of Orange flower, mirabelle plum and pink peppers. Roberto Cavalli Eau De Parfum is an intense floral, vibrant, sexy and sophisticated smell. Definitely worth a try for all you sensual women out there!

I just want to add that there is a difference between 'Eau de Parfum' and 'Eau de Toilette' so when buying perfume take into consideration that when buying an 'Eau de Parfum' you will pay more because it contains a higher concentration of aromatic essence. It will last longer and you will probably notice that you don't have to spray on as much on you as you would an 'Eau De Toillete'.

Another tip I have is that we all have different body chemistry therefore perfumes take to our skin differently. We all hold a unique, natural, individual aromatic scent in our skin. That's why it is best to test the perfume on your skin before making the purchase. There's many times where I have smelt a gorgeous scent on someone and when I put in on my skin it doesn't smell as nice or as good. So when you spray it on a piece of paper this also will not help because no one has a natural aroma of paper! Lol so definitely try it on your skin, walk around a bit then decide later... Don't forget the name of the perfume either! I always do this and never remember the perfume I liked! Super annoying!

I hope this information helps and I hope you have a chance to smell these 2 amazing scents!

Lots of love,

Shopping Day at Eschel

Hello beauties,

I really want to share with you my shopping experience at Eschel in Dubai as I really had such an amazing time there. So here is a post about what I tried on and what I ended up getting from the store!

Eschel is basically a celebrity inspired fashion store and I would say their main inspiration would be from the Kardashians so you can imagine that the style is quite sexy and trendy. So I was like 'YES PLEASE, get me there ASAP' lol!

I arrived at the store around lunch time and I was greeted by Joan, the store assistant, who was so lovely and had such a good aura surrounding her. I think in Dubai there are unfortunately too many sales assistants that are just working in a store because they need a job and not because they love working in fashion and with people so shopping in Dubai can be quite tedious at times ESPECIALLY when they follow you around even after you tell them you're fine to browse!!!! Who ever lives and shops in Dubai know exactly what I'm talking about! It's super annoying and super creepy! Arghhhhhn Can I get an Amen!!! Lol anyways rant over and moving on ... I think that's why I enjoyed my time with Joan because she really cared about what I was looking for and wasn't pushing me into anything or making me feel uncomfortable which is always a good thing haha!

I picked out a few outfits and tried them on!

This dress was the first dress I tried on and I fell in love straight away. Definitely perfect for a night out or a birthday party, the pattern is super funky and a step up from an LBD (little black dress). Then my wondering eye caught this badass jacket and I had to try it on! It really gave the dress a bit more of an edgy look and I felt like I was dressed to kill!

This is the second dress I tried on which I 75% knew I would end up getting lol. As soon as I put it on I loved the fit, the style, the versatility, the colour and I picked up these cute sunglasses to go with it and I just felt glam! I figured it would be the winner! However I still did have other beautiful dresses waiting for me to try on.

Argh I was sooooo in love with dress I felt like Kim Kardashian! The fit was super sleek and I felt very sexy! I would definitely pick this up for a special occasion but my heart was still with the white number!

This was the last dress I tried on, I thought it was super sexy and casual, it really showed off my curves which I loved. This dress could be easily dressed up with heels, some cute gold accessories/belt and a trendy clutch or it could be dressed down with pretty sandals, a stylish sun hat and oversized tanned bag. What do you guys think?

I finally stopped trying on things after deciding to get the cute sunglasses and white outfit (picture 2) and as I was checking out I noticed this awesome long necklace which style is very popular in the Middle East. It is a palm shaped amulet that represents the defence against the 'Evil Eye'. Actually in the Greek culture we have something similar which I'm wearing closer around my neck that looks like a small eye, we call it 'To Mati' and I have soooo many of them!!! I'm OBSESSED haha. So I thought it was super cool and had to get that too!

So not only did I get the perfect summer outfit but I got some amazing accessories too!

As you can probably tell by the photo I was super happy and Eschel is just beyond amaze! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know if you would like to see more shopping adventures from me!

Which outfit was your favourite?!?! I would love to hear what you guys think!

Product Review - NARS

Hi beauties,

Today I wanted to talk about a new found love of mine! NARS and I am head over heels for their products!

I recently purchased some NARS products from Sephora in Dubai mall. Now I RARELY shop for makeup in Dubai because I think that the price difference between the U.S and Australia compared to Dubai is outrageous and extortionate. I find that the difference is about $20 to even $80 or more which I find CRAAAZZZYYY and wonder how they get away with it! Anyway luckily for me I had a discount card for 20% off so I figured it would be a good opportunity for me to grab a few things without putting a major hole in my purse.

Below is what I decided to buy.

I purchased the 'All Day Luminous' foundation in 2 different shades called 'Gobi' which is a light colour with yellow undertones and 'Santa Fe' which is more of Medium colour with peachy undertones. If you aren't sure which colour you are then go online to www.narscosmetics.com and they have a list of 20 different shades along with an explanation on how light or dark it is and if it has a neutral, yellow, golden, peachy, or pink undertone or they even have super dark colours with caramel, brown, red or espresso undertones.

Not only are the colours versatile but the foundation is extremely natural looking but with a full coverage which is exactly what I love and what I believe most people are after in a foundation. I find it is highly pigmented and I use a beauty blender to apply it for a flawless finish.

One hot tip that I have is make sure you shake it very well before pumping it out onto your brush or beauty blender so that the product is mixed up properly inside the bottle and then it will be distributed out evenly.

Now onto the next product which is the 'Radiant Creamy Concealer' the colours I purchased were 'Vanilla' a light pinky tone and 'Ginger' which is a golden colour great for covering dark under eye circles for people with a medium complexion or fake tan.

This concealer is pretty much the only concealer I use. I have two other colours and I probably will end up trying all of them! I use the lighter colours for highlighting and brightening areas of my face and use medium colours for covering my spots.

The combination of the 'All Day Luminous' foundation and the 'Radiant Creamy Concealer' is perfect for covering my acne scars, my spots and any imperfections. It works really well on my skin and for anyone with skin problems I highly recommend trying out these products and let me know how it goes!

In this picture you can see how these products really help give my skin a flawless coverage.

The last two products were the 'Audacious' lipstick in 'Raquel' which is a pink beige colour and my new favourite lipstick! And the 'Dual-Intensity' eyeshadow which is a beautiful metallic champagne beige colour, this eyeshadow can be used either dry or wet.

In this picture I'm wearing both products mentioned above.

If you have any questions or suggestions please comment and I hope this post was helpful!

Day 2 of the Alter Ego Tour

Hello lovelies,

Today was more of a hands on day. We got to use the techniques that Hrush taught us on the previous day and put them into action on our own face today. We were able to bring in our tools and makeup products that way we could use her techniques but use them with things we already own rather than having to go buy new products She did however tell us her favourite products so that if we were interested we could go out and buy them ourselves. Hrush's work is incredible and there is no way I ever would have been able to do this look without her. This is one of my favourite looks I have been able to create as I was able to contour and highlight to perfection.

Hrush went around to each girl me applied makeup to one eye then we did the other eye. This really helped so that we could easily mirror what she had done on one eye to the other. Of course it wasn't exactly identical but we all tried! The cool thing is that once we get this technique down pat then we can eventually create our own style from the techniques that Hrush taught us.

    HRUSH'S OOTD!

I genuinely believe that going to a seminar is one of the best things you can do to help you grow. Whether you are a beginner or a professional it's important to always keep your knowledge fresh and see other styles and techniques of applying makeup. I know for sure that I will try go to as many seminars as possible throughout my makeup career and I highly recommend it to you. Not only just for learning but also for fun! And you get some cool goodies too!

One hot tip I did learn that I want to share with you is if you find your gel eyeliner has dried out then go grab some 'Lotus Oil' and add a drop into your pot, keep the lid on and over a bit of time it will seep into the product helping it soften. I found Lotus oil sold by Clarins.

All in all the last 2 days were magical for me. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with a person who I look up to and who inspires me. Just remember that you can do anything if you put your mind to it!
